Our Mission
The Civic Progress Fund is committed to leading the charge in support of progressive policies at the federal, state, and local level. We believe that government should be responsive, transparent, and accountable to the people it serves—not to political interests or authoritarian impulses.
We are a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization dedicated to advocacy, public education, and civic engagement. We work to advance progressive policies that strengthen our democracy, protect civil rights and civil liberties, and ensure that every community—regardless of race, immigration status, income, or zip code—has a seat at the table.
Why Now
We are living through a period of extraordinary democratic stress. An administration that has openly defied court orders, deployed federal agents against American citizens, and gutted the institutions designed to keep government honest requires an organized, well-resourced opposition. The Civic Progress Fund exists because this moment demands it.
We are not a partisan organization—we are a progressive one. We believe the policies we champion are not Democratic or Republican ideas but American ones: the rule of law, equal protection, government accountability, and the basic dignity of every person in this country.
